Rockschool offers a range of qualifications catering for all ages and levels of ability, including graded exams, teaching qualifications and part-time and full-time courses in conjunction with our partners.
Our graded examinations are from Debut up to Grade 8, thereby catering for candidates from beginner up to advanced. We create syllabus books which contain everything you need to take an exam. This means that candidates can work towards an exam on their own or with a teacher, and enter for the exam whenever they feel they are ready.
Rockschool Performance Diplomas and Teaching Diplomas are a collaboration between Rockschool and the Musicians' Union. Diplomas are offered at Levels 4 and 6. Rockschool is accepting entries for the diplomas from 1st December 2007.
In partnership with Access to Music, Rockschool offers a practical, vocational suite of course-based qualifications run in centres around the country. Various pathways are offered including Vocal Artist, Performing Musician and Creative Music Producer.
Music Educator
In partnership with Access to Music, Rockschool offers a course-based qualification for those interested in becoming an instrumental or vocal music teacher.
Entry Level Qualifications
Designed for those who have never taken a formal music exam before, Entry Level Qualifications give a solid foundation through this accredited pre-Grade 1 exam.
Partnership Assessment
This is a mechanism by which teaching organisations can share in the assessment of candidates. A pilot will take place in early 2007 and further details will be released soon.
